The University of Michigan-Flint hosted its biannual Mgagement Fair on Sept. 2 on Kearsley Street. The outdoor event hosted multiple booths of clubs and organizations, a caricature art station and free food. Over 440 people attended the event.
The Office of the Dean of Students hosts the Mgagement Fair every fall and winter semester as a way to help departments and organizations on campus reach new, returning and transfer students.
Student organizations and departments passed out materials about their clubs and organizations, information on their upcoming events and recruited new members.
Lucas Langdon, assistant dean of students for student engagement, said the event is for all students who want to get involved on campus in a new way.
“That’s our goal, is to help people find their community within our community,” Langdon said. “But, let’s say sophomores didn’t get involved and now they’re ready to. Or juniors and seniors, who they’re starting to see the end of their college experience ahead of them, and they want to do something before they leave.”
The next Mgagement Fair has yet to be announced.
